Set up standard assortment for multiple locations
by Anna Ullmann on Jul 14, 2026A standard range defines which articles are regularly and preferentially ordered. It provides orientation without completely excluding necessary special requirements.
Which articles belong in it?
Frequently needed, easily comparable products are suitable: copy paper, binders, pens, notepads, shipping materials, hygiene papers, soap, coffee, and other consumables.
Selection criteria
- reliable availability
- appropriate quality for the intended use
- economical packaging unit
- cross-site usability where possible
- low risk of confusion
Basic and supplementary assortment
The basic assortment applies to all locations. Additionally, individual branches can receive their own articles, for example, for production, reception, care, school, or practice.
Review regularly
At least once a year, it should be checked which articles are used, which are missing, and where unnecessary variants have arisen.
