The Karat MT 640 K safe with security level 0 (N) offers robust protection against break-in attempts with its three-walled body. In the double-walled door of the Karat MT 640 K, a seven-millimeter-thick plate of SM steel provides protection. Due to the fire protection material used (according to DIN 4102-A1) and a surrounding fire fold, documents and cash are protected in the Karat for an extended period. Locking is achieved with square bolts (32 x 16 mm) on three sides. At the top and bottom, the bolts are protected by an integrated steel roller. All this together provides significant additional protection against forced opening, e.g., against drilling, thermal lancing, and punching. Another advantage in terms of security for the Karat MT 640 K: the thermal emergency locking system with anti-punching protection in front of each bolt. A convenient extra is offered by the "SecuSafe" high-security double-bit lock: if a key is lost, the lock can be reconfigured to a new locking system with a new key set. This is cheaper and safer than duplicating a key.
