The free-floating microphone is decoupled from the device housing, which ensures that almost no noise from background activities, touch, clicks, air, or structure-borne sound is recorded. The Philips SpeechMike Premium Air has an integrated motion sensor. The motion sensor detects when the device is placed on the table and mutes the microphone. As soon as you pick it up again, the microphone is reactivated. In addition, custom settings can be made so that the device automatically pauses and resumes recording.
