The trigger and control button on the back of the device are positioned so that they can be easily reached with the fingers. The technologically advanced Philips SpeechMike Premium features an integrated motion sensor, making it the first stationary dictation device that can be controlled by hand movement. It detects when it is put down, mutes the microphone, and as soon as it is picked up again, the microphone is reactivated. This function can be a great advantage in numerous situations, for example, if you receive a call during recording or if someone enters your office. In addition, personalized events can be programmed, for example, to interrupt and resume recording. The device is equipped with a trackball. This allows the user to easily control and navigate applications while recording, without having to switch between mouse and microphone.
